BMW 1 Series - Car Review

The entry point of the range BMW sedan Series 1 - and the latest version is packed with more gadgets than ever before, including new engines, a lot of equipment "large car", and more room for adjustment. Volkswagen Golf and Audi A3 rival is still only with rear-wheel drive and is as much fun to drive, but the introduction of a new engine makes 100 hp BMW 114i cost of ownership more affordable than ever. There are a variety of fast and efficient petrol and diesel engines, while a lighthouse M135i offers supercar-rivaling performance.

Styling
Love it or hate it, the BMW 1 Series has always stood - and the latest model is just as controversial. "Flame surfacing" design language that was edgy with a smoother look, which was inspired by the latest 5-Series and 6 Series replaced. However, the front kidney grille and large headlamps has prominently. 'S position more widely flared wheel arches and make it appear smaller and more athletic and a coupe, the last couple of corners inside - .. not so new interior surely the box quality All orders are large, the. Instrument panel with soft-touch plastic trim and there is a generous amount of leather and metal finishes. Driving position is very good, even with a lot of adjustment and good visibility. All versions are packed with air conditioning, alloy wheels and a leather steering wheel as standard, but you will pay more if you digital radio.
Conduct
The 1 Series has always been a wide range of petrol and diesel engines, and this has not changed with the latest model. Buyers can choose from a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo 136bhp 116i or 118i in the 170 hp in the selection. The three-door model is available with 100 hp 114i, which drops the price of a 116i, but it takes 11.2 seconds to 60 mph reach. At the top of the range is crazy M135i, which delivers the performance rivaling supercar and a 0-60mph time of just 4.9 seconds. As with diesel engines, there is a 2.0-liter 116d, 118d and 120d, 116d EfficientDynamics, while diesel gets a 1.6-liter. Thanks in wider front and rear tracks and a command button pilot performance, it does not matter what engine you go - All models of the 1 corner without wheels and show a lot of decent agility. The increase is even more comfortable than before.
Reliability
The new car has been lengthened by 85mm, 30mm added to the wheelbase. But despite its larger dimensions, the 1-series is still a little cramped in the back of the VW Golf in comparison. It is larger than before, however, and the boot capacity is increased by 30 liters to 360 liters in total, which increases to 1,200 liters of the rear seats. This somewhat less than the VW Golf Mk7 (which runs 380 and 1270 liters), but significantly more than the Audi A3, which offers 365 liters with the seats folded and only 1,100 liters with them. The shoe is a very practical form and there's no shortage of lockers in the cabin, either.

With new engines, a 30 kg lighter body and a standard, and other settings Efficient Dynamics stop-start the new 1er is very economical. The 118i engine is able to return 48mpg and 137g/km. About CO2 emissions, which is very impressive considering its performance The most economical diesel 116d Efficient Dynamics, which is 74.3mpg and emits 99g/km tax relief.
